If you are an overseas Yankee fan (or any baseball fan for that matter) a visit to Yankees stadium to watch a game is a must. I visited NYC in May for the first time and had my tickets booked well in advance. Next visit = next game to the Yankees. Great atmosphere and you can actually have a beer while watching the game, which is something you are not used to if you watch football in England. Fantastic experience, especially if they win. By the way, Yankees were bottom of the division when I went to the game, now look at them. I must be a lucky mascot!!!

During a holiday to NYC in May 2005, with 3 friends, we spent the afternoon in a couple of bars around Time Square. Needing some food to soak up some of the beer, we visited TGI Fridays in Time Square. The food was excellent (huge compared to portion sizes in England), the service very good (on hearing we were from England, the waiter immediately order 4 beers to the table) and the price was very good value. Plently of room available. Would definately go again but when on holiday you need to try different places. Maybe next year...

I visited NYC with 3 friends for a week in May 2005 and we had arranged a few things before we arrived. We all wanted to see a live band in NYC and booked to see The Wonderstuff in concert @ Irving Plaza (The Wonderstuff are from a couple of miles from where we live but we had never seen them live).

Great first night out in NYC with 3 other bands playing before The Wonderstuff, Ambulance LTD being the best of the lot (we have since seen Ambulane LTD in Birmingham, England & they were just as good).

Not too packed, just enough people to have a good time.
