By Hotel_Editor who lives in Midtown West Recent hotel guests have said the Waldorf=Astoria lives up to its reputation as "one of the last grand hotels in New York." With a "perfect location" on Park Avenue "only 5 minutes away from Grand Central and Madison Avenue shopping." The Art Deco landmark has "a lobby that delivers elegance and grandeur" though some guests found "the rooms are not as elegant as the lobby would lead you to believe." Most find the hotel delivers "impeccable service" and is "perfect for people who believe quality matters." The rooms are "elegant in that old world charm sort of way" though some found them "a bit stuffy." In general, the hotel has a "romantic atmosphere" and is a "great value for the price." Recommended for : business travelers, couples and romantics.
