The New Yorker, a landmark in its own right, is centrally located in Midtown Manhattan and set among world famous landmarks. Directly across the street is Madison Square Garden and Pennsylvania Station. One street east is the famous Macy's department store, and a five minute walk takes you to the Empire State Building. What better setting is there? The hotel is also close to the Javits Convention Center, just steps from the Intrepid Air and Space Museum and 5 minutes from the Broadway theaters.
The New Yorker represents a good value for budget-conscious travelers, making a Manhattan stay affordable, more convenient, and more comfortable. Guests will be thrilled by the panoramic views of the city from the New Yorker's 1,000 rooms, all of which are above the 18th floor. However, it is neither a five-star hotel nor does it have the most modern amenities. Essentially you get what you pay for here, and while the guest rooms have been renovated and redecorated, travellers' opinions of the decor is mixed. Try requesting a room above the 30th floor for great city views. Also note, the Tick Tock Diner next door consistently gets good reviews.
For their guests' convenience, the New Yorker offers valet parking, laundry service and an onsite ticket agent. Two restaurants and a coffee shop area are on premises. The New Yorker is just minutes from a multitude of shopping, fine dining and entertainment venues.
