EDITORIAL REVIEW
In Weehawken, New Jersey, located one-half mile from the ferry to New York City, the Park Avenue Hotel is ideal only for travelers on a strict budget. The amenities here are sparse, and we have had frequent complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms.
However, if you are used to traveling in the third world, and want to save significant money, this hotel may well meet your needs. The five-story hotel has 40 guestrooms with double beds and shared bathroom facilities. There are also four studio suites which offer a choice of two double beds or a double bed and double futon as well as a private bathroom and a kitchen with assorted cooking utensils. The hotel lobby offers high-speed Internet for dispatching emails home.
Options for traveling into Manhattan include a nearby public bus stop. However, keep in mind that you are at least 30 minutes from Manhattan and the major tourist attractions.
