The New York Passport Agency serves customers who are traveling within 14 days or who need foreign visas within the next 4 weeks.
During the busy summer travel season, the U.S. State Department receives a heavy volume of calls, and you are therefore urged to apply for a passport well in advance at one of the more than
7,000 public places< /a> nationwide that accept passport applications.
The New York Passport Agency is open 7:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays. An appointment is required, and can be scheduled by calling (877) 487-2778. Do not visit the office without an appointment! Do read the website information carefully about visiting the office, as a late arrival can mean cancellation of your appointment.
