Treasure on 36th Street
By

I had read positive and negative reactions to the production of The Hunt for Treasure by professional and amateur reviewers alike. It was enough to peak my interest enough to spend the $15 to go and see the show. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it - but with a caveat.
This production has two strong actors having a lot of fun with a certain genre of comedy (a style I personally enjoy). If you do not like Animal House, Monty Python, "clown" comedy or a smattering of toilet humor you will not enjoy this show. (I am not for a moment suggesting The Hunt for Treasure is of the cal...

A bomb

We saw Hunt for Treasure and found it appallingly bad and raunchy. There's almost no plot and very little humor, unless you like the bathroom type. It's all downhill when one characters removes the treasure map from his ass, supposedly jacks off off stage with a loud groan, and then pulls out treasure map smeared with "semen" and smears it all over the other character's face.

By

Two people walked out of the show towards the beginning, and another two hated it so much that they walked out towards the end (even though the show was only an hour). Yet inconceivably, there were several people screaming and laughing throughout the show - they appeared to be British (perhaps they were friends of the cast?)
The review that says "people were laughing throughout the show" is probably technically true - but that revie...

Hunting for flaws in The Hunt for Treasure

Spot on - the opening night will be hard to beat in terms of laughs. The audience lapped it up and the both performances were of the very highest order! Deeply recommended!
