Not What I Expected
By andey_mcfarlin

I missed the Bodies Exhibition when it was here in Los ANgeles, so I got the opportunity to go in New York. However, I was a bit disappointed in the exhibit. I think it could have been done a little more artistically in spots and being in the medical profession, I noticed a lot of inaccuracies in the descriptions of the various organs. The best part is the section on the arteries, though. Not something I would recommended, especially to those in the medical profession.

Great Visual Access for Bodyworkers
By leehem who lives in Vermont

This is a great opportunity for bodyworkers to see in 3 dimensional perspective how the body is put together. As a Massage Therapist, I found this exhibit to be very helpful. Although my massage training included videos using cadavers, they were not nearly as helpful for integrating the information I need in my work.
There were children there who did not seem to be at all squeamish or upset. This exhibit is a profound experience.

Interesting & Educational
By culturalenigma who lives in PA

This exhibit was very informative and entertaining. Getting to see the organs and how they work, seeing diseased organs and healthy ones side by side was enough to make me know I want to quit smoking!

I've been told it isn't for the squeamish, but the specimens don't even appear real. Most movies and video games are so many levels above worse than the most upsetting sight in this exhibition.

I would recommend it even for children.
