Loosely based on The Supremes and the 1960's Motown hit factory, Dreamgirls follows an emerging R&B act as they go from dreamers to the dream. As the Dreamettes rise to fame, it becomes clear to them that in a group of three talent singers, only one can be in the center! Featuring the same songs that won the Tony Award for Best Book in 1982, Dreamgirls is the high-energy, high-drama story of rags-to-riches and the triumphs and tribulations that come with fame and fortune.
