  EDITORIAL REVIEW

Kathleen Turner directs Beth Henley's Pultizer Prize-winning comedy.

The Magrath sisters have trouble with men. Lonely Lenny never married, failed singer/actress Meg lost count, and the youngest, Babe, married an abuser and shot him. Now the sisters reunite at Old Granddaddy's home in Hazelhurst, Mississippi to face life's most absurd tragedies. Alone, each woman might call it quits. Together, they'll have the most hilarious time of their lives.

The world premiere of Crimes of the Heart took place in 1979 at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. The original Broadway production was nominated for four Tony Awards and starred Mia Dillon, Mary Beth Hurt, Lizbeth MacKay and Peter MacNichol. A 1986 film version featured Diane Keaton, Jessica Lange and Sissy Spacek as the sisters.
