A visit to the United Nations is like nothing else, and it's your call whether it is a tranquil oasis for world peace or a jockey competition among big nations. Two hidden secrets: the postal administration (whose stamps can only be used here) and the Delegates' Dining Room buffet lunch, a great value in an elegant dining room overlooking the East River (you must reserve in advance and also arrive early for security check).
