Editorial Review
The Old American Can Factory is an industrial complex built between 1865 and 1901 on the Fourth Street Basin of the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, a place where things are still being made. It is home to a vital community of 120 people who manufacture a myriad of products, ideas and experiences for industry, arts and culture.

During the Summer the Can also hosts Rooftop Films, a non-profit film festival and production collective that supports, creates, promotes, and shows daring short films worldwide and in a weekly summer rooftop film festival.

Hours And Additional Info
The entrance is up the stoop on 3rd Street. Audience members are then guided through the beatufiul, old building complex via signage, to the courtyard where a screen is set up, and further along to the roof, where another screen is set up (this venue features a dual projection, with the same films shown at the same time in both locations). If wine is served, it will be done in the courtyard. In the event of rain, shows will be held indoors in the lovely event space on the third floor.

SPECIAL NOTE: Capacity on the rooftop is limited to 200 people. In the event we sell out the roof in advance, we will be accepting walk-up patrons for our lovely courtyard. The best way to guarantee yourself a spot on the roof is to buy a ticket in advance.
