Must see !!
By donsherri2000

Was there in June 2010 and it was a real treat . So natural and open . Its refreshing to see some really newly created green space in NYC . I would highly reccomened it on your next visit to NYC . If your not into nature and walking its really not for you ..

will be phenomenal
By domo-kun who lives in Floral Park

I too was skeptical, but it will be an oasis of green above Chelsea's industrial zone. I saw this photoblog today and I love it:

a gem to be restored
By fotoblogger who lives in Lower East Side

You need your imagination right now to envision what an elevated park 30 feet above street level will ultimately look like, but it will be unique in all of America. Running north-south though Chelsea, this former railroad line has been derelict for decades, and making progress required an inordinate amount of red tape and bureaucratic hurdles to be overcome. But having seen it from above, I can tell you it will be the talk of the town when completed.
