architectural house of horrors
By domo-kun who lives in Floral Park

Lincoln Center has not aged gracefully, and sticks out like a sore thumb. Sorry to say, the venues look dated, although they are barely a handful of decades old. Better to level the whole thing and start over rather than to pour more money into the entire operation. Am I being cynical? Take a careful look at the subway access tunnels, at the level of decay outside the venues, at the staircases and exterior façades. It is literally crumbling. Elsewhere I have reviewed the individual theaters comprising Lincoln Center. It is a modernist house of horrors.
