Driving Directions
From the East Side:
Take the FDR Drive south to Exit 1 (Battery Park/Staten Island Ferry exit).
From the West Side:
Take the West Side Highway/West Street to the FDR Drive and exit at South Street as you emerge from the Battery Park Tunnel.
Automobiles are not permitted on Governors Island.
There are several commercial parking lots and garages in lower Manhattan, within walking distance of the Battery Maritime Building.
