A zoo at the heart of Manhattan.
By faifai613 who lives in Midwood

Well, it's a small zoo but it's right in the middle of Manhattan, so what do you expect. It's a great place to bring your kids there in sunny afternoon and a nice idea for field trip if you teach summer school in the city. Not to mention you can visit other parts of Central Park afterward.

tiny zoo for tiny tots
By plaxiv who lives in Little Italy

Kids today are extremely sophisticated, and while the Central Park Zoo has made efforts to keep up with the times, only the less jaded and younger children will really love this place. Obviously size limitations and budgetary restrictions mean this will never become a Bronx Zoo, but it is a fun place for the whole family to visit.
