Driving Directions
From the Brooklyn Bridge:
Continue straight ahead 6 traffic lights; turn left onto Atlantic Avenue; drive 1 mile and turn right onto Flatbush Avenue; continue to arch at Grand Army Plaza; proceed around traffic circle to Eastern Parkway (library on right); drive 1 block and turn right onto Washington Avenue (Brooklyn Museum on corner).
From Manhattan Bridge:
Continue straight ahead onto Flatbush Avenue; then see directions under Brooklyn Bridge.
Verrazano-Narrows Bridge:
Continue straight ahead to Route 278; exit at 38th Street; turn left onto Fourth Avenue; go 42 blocks and turn right onto Union Street; continue to arch at Grand Army Plaza; then see directions under Brooklyn Bridge.
Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE):
Exit at Kent Avenue; follow service road (Park Avenue) alongside and then under the expressway five blocks; turn left onto Washington Avenue and continue for 1-3/4 miles.
Jackie Robinson Parkway:
Exit at Bushwick Avenue; turn left at third traffic light onto Eastern Parkway; go 3 miles and turn left onto Washington Avenue (Brooklyn Museum on corner).
Parking:
There is a visitor entrance and attended parking (for a fee) at 900 Washington Avenue. Parking lot opens at 8 a.m. There is no overnight parking. Buses only when space permits.
