Although Manhattan has the nation's greatest concentration of massive department stores, frankly Bloomingdale's has always been my favorite. It somehow mixes and matches what Macy's and Lord & Taylor can't achieve, and remains more enjoyable than Saks or Bergdorf-Goodman.
